Talent Management and Emotional Intelligence
Because Emotional Intelligence has been measured to be a better predictor of success in Senior Executives than either previous experience or IQ, we are asked to:
- consult with HR Departments to apply Emotional Intelligence to the talent management requirements of acquisition, retention and succession planning.
- design and integrate EI development into talent management programmes.
- develop the leadership capabilities of senior management in alignment with the organisation’s leadership competency frameworks or values.
- use applied EI to increase the rate at which managers meet core-competencies and position-specific competencies - readying them for succession.
- use 360-degree EI tools to measure and develop the attitudes that facilitate effective leadership (e.g. awareness of others, flexibility of style, personal power, goal directedness, reflective learning, etc.) and develop a directive coaching agenda specific to each leader/manager/Director.
